What’s up? I’m writing from my dodgy…scratch that, charming little home studio where I have been spending countless hours working on demos for our new record. All the while I’m thinking, man I really need to mow the lawn or I wonder what it feels like to tour!

The next couple of dates on our calendar are exciting ones. New York residents, come catch Gavin and I play an epic acoustic set to kick off the Fueled By Ramen 15th Anniversary shows on September 7th. Click HERE for DETAILS! And if you are planning on coming, get there early - Gavin and I are going to come say hi to the line outside.

Then we’re heading to Australia for what’s now being called Counter Revolution to play some very awesome shows. DETAILS HERE. I am an Aussie but I never got to see much of the country aside from where I was brought up, so I’m STOKED to see Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for the first time! I’ve heard great things about Perth, so we decided we’re going to reward ourselves with an extra couple of days hanging out there at the end of the tour.

Writing is nearing its end, songs are awesome, can not wait to get this beast in motion again. See you soooooon(ish)!!!

After the Soundwave Revolution tour was cancelled a couple weeks back, the Counter Revolution shows have been announced! These will feature headliners Panic! At The Disco and All Time Low with over 15 guests including This Providence, The Swellers and our friends in Set Your Goals, Yellowcard, The Damned Things, Hellogoodbye, Go Radio and We Are The In Crowd!

Ohhh, that’s weird. And I barely remembered it a couple days after. I was too focused the amazing of that day/night.

But yes, I’m so excited for their album. I don’t want them to rush it though.

And the new song sounds really good. I dunno if you've ever seen them live, but on their headlining tour, they had a special meet&greet that the first 20 people in line could get into. They played a new song to the people who got in.. It was a freezing day in April, it actually snowed a bit, and me and my best friend sat in line in cardigans and jeans. Unfortunately, the people in the front of the line kept letting even more people in front of them. I was just wondering if you got to hear that song, and if it was the one posted on this blog.

What really pissed me off, is the fact that I asked them what the new song was like and they said they didn't pay attention >>

Hey, the one running this right now is Zee. And I have seen them 3 times. I went to their headliner, and my friends and I were part of that first 20 M&G. It was a great day.

And are you referring to the new song Dan played at their headliner M&G? Because if so, I barely remember it. I do however remember almost crying. But I don’t know if it’s the song we posted.

Oh, I’m guessing Dan gave you that response? Because if he did, he was probably being his sarcastic self.

And yes, we all miss This Prov!

As I write this, I’m on a 737 headed home from dirty ‘ol LA to beautiful Seattle. No offense to those of you who reside there. It’s just not my thing…and yeah, it’s dirty. Are you really going to try and deny that?! I mean, it’s way fun and I know there’s worse, but…c’mon. Haha. Alright, nuff of that. I’m done being immature…for now.

I just spent the last 6 days staying in David’s apartment - also a bit on the dirty side. Actually, that’s harsh and inaccurate, let’s call it messy. Promise me you won’t tell David I said so! He was and is still on tour with his girlfriend’s project, Katelyn Tarver. She just released an EP. Check it out, girl’s got some pipes!

Despite David’s absence, I wasn’t alone. He’s been living with his sister Brittany and buddy Scott. I had a great time hanging out with those two, staying up talking about life, love, and the universe. Even though I’m exhausted now, it was totally worth it. I made two new awesome friends and you can’t complain about that!

So why the fuck was I in LA anyway? Well the real reason is, I was writing music for our next record with this awesome dude named Mike Daly (from Whiskeytown). It was a-mazing. Aside from accompanying him in his quest to purchase an old beat-up Rhodes and a brand new hammick, it was music, music, music, music, and uh…more music. 5 long days at the studio had me dumbfounded. There was one point where I turned to Mike, smiling from ear to ear and said, “You have to understand, I’m beyond excited. I can’t believe WE wrote these songs!” It reminded me of the moment my 16 year sister found out she was getting her first cellphone. Haha!

All that to say, the jams are flowing, people. I know it’s been taking waaaaay tooooo looooooong, and trust me, no one could possibly be more impatient than we currently are. But the time and care put into is will be made evident when we finally record and release the next record. We want to make something that stands out, something great, so that’s where we’re headed. This is our best work by a long shot and I’ve never been more excited for the future of This Prov. It’s our time.
